For the year October 1, 2015 – September 30, 2016 the average sold price in the Jersey City downtown market increased by 10.20% over the previous year October 1, 2014 – September 30, 2015. The average price for 2015 thru 2016 was $764,512 compared to $693,734 over the year 2014 thru 2015.
Jersey City downtown had the 4th highest increase of all areas in Jersey City. The highest increase was in West Bergen where the average sold price rose by 16.47%, followed by Bergen Lafayette at 15.65% and Jersey City Heights at 14.01%. The average sold price in Journal Square and Greenville areas appreciated by 9.91% and 7.65%.
